who won the second place trophy in the
Easter at Pine Meadows Nursing Home On Sunday March 29th there was a musical interlude at the Pine Meadows Nursing Home, Park Road in Leek. Music teachers and performers Josephine Bailey and Joan Lister organised a concert with music including the Beatles, Jardanyi, Hasse, John Denver and numerous hymns. Josephine invited some of her students to play for the Easter concert and entertained friends and family of the students and the residents of the home. Josephine's students used the occasion to gain valuable experience for their performing skills and their playing abilities ranged from grade 1 to grade 6 on the flute and clarinet. A small fee was charged on the door and £40.00 was raised for the 'comfort fund' at Pine Meadows Nursing Home. Josephine said 'all the musicians played beautifully, I am really proud of them all. I hope to do another concert at Pine Meadows some time in the future'.
