The Alto Saxophone is a heavy, chunky instrument but it can give so much pleasure to the player and to the listener. I use the book Saxophone Basics by Andy Hampton for beginners, and this contains many fun, interesting, jazzy and bluesy pieces. The CD which comes with the book is also useful for the player to give them an instant accompaniment which is a lot more fun than struggling on their own. There are also the Guestspot books available for saxophone for when the player becomes a little more confident with their playing. Tuition for the saxophone Associated Board examinations are available for the player if they feel that they would like their achievement marked by a grade exam.

 

Theory of Music

Tuition for the Associated Board Theory examinations will be included in the lessons if required.

Fees

£12.50 per 30 minute lesson subject to an annual review each September.

Cancellations

All lessons cancelled within 24 hours of the arranged time are charged for at the full rate unless the absence is due to illness, please telephone or email for further details.
